Chicken Bacon Club Sandwich

The club sandwich recipe is definitely a classic. It's called a club sandwich because it is very popular at resorts and country clubs. Today you can find the sandwich at many restaurants and they are also popular at hotels. It's origins can be traced back and found on U.S. menus from 1899 or even earlier, so people have been enjoying this sandwich for a over a century. It can also be called a clubhouse sandwich and a double-decker type, made with three slices of bread and two layers of fillings. The club sandwich is believed to be invented by line cook Danny Mears in the late 19th century at an exclusive gambling club in Saratoga Springs, New York. Traditionally the bottom layer of the club has turkey and the top layer of filling is bacon lettuce and tomato, and cheese is sometimes also added as well. To make a chicken bacon club recipe, follow this advice and you'll have a great sandwich!
