I was so right, "Welsh clay pot loaves" recipe does make a great dough to be used for hamburger/sandwich buns. To make them, follow the recipe for "Welsh clay pot loaves", and then at the end shape them into little buns, and bake on a baking sheet, instead of baking them in the pots.
